Sirius

When you look at the sky at night, you realise one of the thousands of stars is always brighter than the others. Although Sirius is far from the Sun, it is 23 times brighter than the Sun.

The ancient Egyptians built special windows so that their queen could watch Sirius.  Known as the "Queen of Heaven" in Hawaii, Sirius has been the subject of many folk tales and has been honoured with festivities due to its never-fading, always guiding light.
